The WorkCast Corporation has developed and operates a Software as a Service (SaaS) product which empowers businesses to realise the commercial and business benefits of Webcasting and to integrate Webcasts with existing business processes. Whether an Organisation wants to hold a Webinar, Online training session, Sales, Department or Project meeting, Executive or Analyst Briefing, WorkCast can help capture, deliver and replay these sessions to anyone at anytime over the internet.

The role

The WorkCast Corporation has a position for an experienced Software Engineer to join their small team of experienced Software Engineers. Programming primarily in C# .NET and 3.5 MS SQL Server 2008, the successful candidate will work on a range of development projects but will initially be focused on our application interface. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, professional and work well as part of a small team.

The successful candidate will have experience working with similar technologies and will demonstrate an ability to contribute to a development team and a business’s growth. As a small, rapidly growing organisation, all members of the team are expected to contribute to the overall success of the team in many ways and to get involved in all aspects of meeting the business and customer expectations. This may include periodically being ‘on call’ for our Production organisation to escalate technical issues to you.

Required Skills

• 3 years+ development with at least 18 months C# .Net (2,3.0 or 3.5)
• 18 months+ MS SQL Server 2005/2008

Additional Useful Skills

• WCF or Web Services more generally
• Working using secure coding standards
• HTML/CSS/XML/Javascript
• Media Encoding (WMV/Flash)
• Browser Compatibility issues
• Windows Media Player/Flash
